The Process & Prices
The beauty of getting a design from me is that you have so much flexibility in the pace of change, the budget and in who does the work - Not everyone has thousands of pounds to spend in one go. Once your design is delivered, you choose how the design comes to life…
You could install everything yourself gradually to keep costs to a minimum.
You could commission a contractor to do the tricky landscaping bits (I can recommend good people) and buy and install the plants yourselves at your own pace.
Or if you want this done quickly, you can get a recommended contractor to do the landscaping and then get me to buy and install the plants for you. The cost of installing the plants will be based on how many days it takes me. If you want to save money at this stage, you can plant with me and we can do it in half the time!
I buy from Fullbrook Nursery which only opens to the public a few times per year. The plants are considerably cheaper than elsewhere and very good quality. They carry plenty of stock so it’s possible to buy several of the exact same plant for consistency. The only additional cost I add is in the time and fuel it would take me to do this for you. I pass on all of the savings from them to you.
Design Services
The living nature of plants is what makes us feel energised, grounded and peaceful, but this is also what makes them challenging to use in design.
Hiring a garden designer saves you a lot of money and time.
Even for those who have a good eye for design, living plants have far more variables than furniture or interior decor. Plants keep changing and growing through the year and are part of an ecosystem which makes them much more difficult to design with. I have the knowledge and experience to get the look you want first time.
Your design will be beautiful but it will also be functional and realistic to care for.
Even if the look you like is wild and relaxed, it has to have some order beneath the surface so that you know what to expect from your garden and how it works practically.
I can design something for you that will last, with the right plants in the right places.
Whether you wish to maintain it yourself or outsource this, a maintenance plan comes as standard to make sure that your garden stays healthy and happy.
